The Pittsburgh Consortium for Rhetoric and Discourse Studies (PCRDS) is an organization dedicated to fostering community, improving communication, and promoting scholarly engagement for faculty and students interested in the analysis and production of discourse in fields including but not limited to rhetoric, communication studies, discourse studies, and technical and professional writing.

To pursue these goals, the consortium sponsors lectures and community building events and provides information about local scholars and scholarly activities supported by the consortium and its sponsoring institutions through this website and its listserv.

You can sing up for the listserv by visiting https://lists.andrew.cmu.edu/mailman/listinfo/pcrds-org. Subscription to the list is open. You can join or remove yourself at anytime.

Faculty are also invited to have a member profile on the consortium website. For further details, please contact the consortium at pcrds-org@lists.andrew.cmu.edu.

We invite you to join us in our efforts to create a more vibrant and connected community of scholars of rhetoric, writing, discourse, and communication in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania.

Sincerely,
James Wynn, Consortium Director
